Last Blog Post?

Alhamdulillah  thank goodness as we scheduled before, the exhibition day was succesfully held last day at UniKL IPROM. The exhibition of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) exhibition consists of 4 booth that combine together 3 professional communation 1 groups and technical communication group.(se7enpro,teamheroheroin and anonynomouse group).

Essentially, the exhibition day not just fulfill the requirement of subject course but also as a contribution to UniKL Iprom especially during the open day(same day). Lecturers, Iprom students, visitors and outsiders can explore more on such activities that we held before(CSR). Though there are some issues occure such as late promotion and some unpredictable issue, there are positive responsiveness from the visitors and we have seen some good effort that appears to get the information and share some suggestions and ideas to us. We are really really glad and appreciate for their support and their participation. Thank you.

Lastly we can conclude that there were some values that we gained from the exhibition. We learned to apply the communication and presentation skills into the real situation which is mean by applying it practically instead of theoritically like we learned before in professional communication 1 class. By doing that, we have known and aware ourselves which level we are, either we achieve the condition that we supposed to be or not. In term of team work, we also learned something new in this matter. We have learned on how to negotiate with the other groups and learned to compete positvely as a reason to organize the exhibition as the best as we can.

On behalf of honor and politeness, we from se7enpro group would like to appologize for any inconvenience that occurs during the class session, meetings, exhibition, whole activities either in formally or unformally. We would like to take this oppurtunity to express a lot of thanks to the UniKL IPROM, Madam Alia as our advisor, group members, and participants that involved either in directly or directly. We are totally satisfy and enjoy the valueable moments that we share among the visitors. Hopefully UniKL IPROM will get the better outcome from this kind of activity. We would like to suggest that a proper analysis and research should be make in order to enhance the "boom" of CSR activities by the UniKL IPROM students itself. TQVM.

A few words from Rusydi..

Syukur Alhamdulillah, at last we had successfully done the task as we need to complete. Personally I am very glad to be involve by formal or informally in this activity. In my point of view, this kind of activity not just owe benefit to the current participants itself, but it will also affects future participants especially UniKL IPROM students that intend to make this activity.

I really look forward to share and exchange some knowledge, information or any idea regarding this activity. Hope our experience and some a little knowledge from our group will generate the other students and participants so that UniKL IPROM may have better positive outcome from their student itself. Insyaallah. It is not impossible to say that UniKL IPROM could have a well known, active and efficient Social Responsibility Student Club and Community itself in the future time. All we need in this approach are everlasting effort, ideas, hard-work, politeness and honesty.Insyaallah... -Rusydi Ashikin

Following Issue

Behind the scene, there are a few issue that we gain from our program acitivty:

1) Impression - How do the participants feel? What the outcoming senses? Is it enough "boom" to them? Do they cheer out themselve in the activty?

2) Expression - How do they appear themselve during the activity? Are they willing to show they own character or just show themselve "behind the mask"?

3) Shared value - What are the value shared among the participants?

4) Outcome - What the outcome after the input? In this case, our input is alphabetically put in from "a,b,c...z" and our output is an understand participant regarding to our program and activity. We implement this mould by apply english based learning process; make step by step, one by one particularly.

5) Experience gained - How much and what the most value able experience gained during the program activity? Does it make student of the Professional Communication 1 aware enough for this matter. Does they encourage themselve?

6) Inspiration - How does we inspire and motivate themselve? What they want to be when they grown up soon? What their future ambition? We as the elders guide them as much as we can and hopefully they will be a great human soon. Insyaallah. Let us together pray to the God.

7) Organization, Conduction and Teamwork - How efficient the team organize and conduct the activity? Is it well organize, worst or just average? How about the teamwork? Is it everyone of the group members put enough effort or just to "show their nose"?

8) Impact - What does the impact come out to UniKL Iprom, Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat, Rumah Kanak-Kanak Tengku Budriah,Professional Communication 1 Student, participants, IKM Students lecturers, and public?

9) Achievement - Back to the objective, vission and mission to teach partipants about english. Is it fulfill the objective of the program? Is it meet the criteria or requirement needed?

10) Future planning - What the possible plan for the future plan? What the best method or way we could prepare? How to rectify the possible problem based on learned experience?

Mission Accomplished!

First of all, we would like to thanks to our program advisor Madam Alia for attending to have a look with her own eyes during our final visit. Alhamdulillah, after a few weeks we compete in our charity program (english based learning program) at Rumah Kanak-Kanak Tg. Budriah we found that we have achieve the objective and vision of our program.

The "Spelling" and the "Guess & Story" activities that we have held was make them comfortable with the english word.

For your information, there are a certain part that make some difficulties for us to conduct the program. It is when they show their sensitive emotion to us. One of our group members have been ask by the child to give her own watch as a memorial give. It is a touching situation through our insight heart of us.

In our point of view, the challenge that we face not only to make them understand english language, but we also face the problem to teach them on how to be a real man or woman in future time.

As apprecation, once again we would like to thank to the UniKL IPROM, JKM, Rumah Kanak-Kanak Tengku Budriah, IKM groups, sponsors, advisors and participants who involve formally or informally for the everlasting effort and contribution in term of accomplishing this program and activities.

Please look forward for us for the exhibition day at UniKL IPROM, Taman Shamelin Perkasa, Cheras at 20 April 2011. For further insistence please do not hesitate to contact us at profcomm1@ymail.com or you may leave your own word at the comments section at bottom of this blog post. TQVM.

Our 2nd Visits~ \(^o^)/ - 26th Feb 2011

Just like what we have agreed in our discussion before, we decided to gather a bit early today. After all of the students arrived, we begin our preparation for today's activities. We need to make sure that the projector is good to go so that the activities can proceed smoothly.

"We must accept finite dissapointment, but we must never lost infinite hope"
-by Martin Luther King Jr.-

The day started a bit slow. Most of the children seems a bit down and sleepy. So we decided to cheer them a bit with "tepuk cike poke" and chicken dance. It's a bit embarrassing for 20+ years old students to be doing chicken dance. But it's a different thing for the children there. They seems to be enjoying it.. We do it like three times. And they look happier for every time we do it together with them.. Go Chicken Dance~

From our last visit here, we gave them an A4 paper with a writen english word on it. They need to find the meaning of the word in Malay and passed it up today. Most of them completed the task. They even take the effort of 'decorating' the paper with drawing of flowers and colored word. We cant deny that there are still those who didn't bring the task.. But the effort they shown through the task they have completed proof that most of the interested in learning english.

On today's visit, we decided to do two activities which are spelling contest and coloring activity. The spelling contest is done in group. First the participent is divided into 5 groups. Then each of the group will be given letters, a mahjong paper and a marker. Then, the host will say a word for them to spell. The participant needs to write the correct spelling of the word on the mahjong paper. Then they need to use the letters given to form the words. The marks will be given based on the correct spelling and the quickest. Then the answer is given through projector by using PowerPoint.

Spell it right guys~

- P O S I T I V E -

Here's the answer! Elephant~
It's fun seeing how they really like to compete with each other. Some of them even run to us and shout "We're first! We're first!" The KM students even join the activities. They help the participant by repeating the pronunciation again and again. We lought a lot seeing how they try to make them spell it right! Seeing the inthusiasm in their faces really makes the efforts worth it~

"Po.. Po.. Si.. Siii.. no.. noo.. not chi.. Si..! Si.. Tive... Positive!"

Next we do the coloring activity. Each of the student is given a set of 12 pieces color pencil  and a piece of paper printed with picture. Then they need to color it by using the color pencil and creativity~ They were given certain amount of time to complete the drawing. While waiting for them to complete the drawing, we plays some songs for them..

Dont start yet guys..
Let your creativity flow~
Today's host and her assistant.

At the end of the visit, all of the drawing were collected. Before we end the session, all of the children were given some "souvenir" in a form of ood and health food - Raisins and milk! Thanks to the effort of one our team mates who manage to found a sponsor for the souvenir. To the person who's sponsored the souvenir, we really appreciate what you did and may God bless you!

For participant from RKKK Tengku Budriah only!

Thank you for your cooperation! \\(^o^)//
