Our 2nd Visits~ \(^o^)/ - 26th Feb 2011

Just like what we have agreed in our discussion before, we decided to gather a bit early today. After all of the students arrived, we begin our preparation for today's activities. We need to make sure that the projector is good to go so that the activities can proceed smoothly.

The day started a bit slow. Most of the children seems a bit down and sleepy. So we decided to cheer them a bit with "tepuk cike poke" and chicken dance. It's a bit embarrassing for 20+ years old students to be doing chicken dance. But it's a different thing for the children there. They seems to be enjoying it.. We do it like three times. And they look happier for every time we do it together with them.. Go Chicken Dance~

From our last visit here, we gave them an A4 paper with a writen english word on it. They need to find the meaning of the word in Malay and passed it up today. Most of them completed the task. They even take the effort of 'decorating' the paper with drawing of flowers and colored word. We cant deny that there are still those who didn't bring the task.. But the effort they shown through the task they have completed proof that most of the interested in learning english.

On today's visit, we decided to do two activities which are spelling contest and coloring activity. The spelling contest is done in group. First the participent is divided into 5 groups. Then each of the group will be given letters, a mahjong paper and a marker. Then, the host will say a word for them to spell. The participant needs to write the correct spelling of the word on the mahjong paper. Then they need to use the letters given to form the words. The marks will be given based on the correct spelling and the quickest. Then the answer is given through projector by using PowerPoint.

Spell it right guys~

Here's the answer! Elephant~
It's fun seeing how they really like to compete with each other. Some of them even run to us and shout "We're first! We're first!" The KM students even join the activities. They help the participant by repeating the pronunciation again and again. We lought a lot seeing how they try to make them spell it right! Seeing the inthusiasm in their faces really makes the efforts worth it~

"Po.. Po.. Si.. Siii.. no.. noo.. not chi.. Si..! Si.. Tive... Positive!"

Next we do the coloring activity. Each of the student is given a set of 12 pieces color pencil  and a piece of paper printed with picture. Then they need to color it by using the color pencil and creativity~ They were given certain amount of time to complete the drawing. While waiting for them to complete the drawing, we plays some songs for them..

Dont start yet guys..
Let your creativity flow~

At the end of the visit, all of the drawing were collected. Before we end the session, all of the children were given some "souvenir" in a form of ood and health food - Raisins and milk! Thanks to the effort of one our team mates who manage to found a sponsor for the souvenir. To the person who's sponsored the souvenir, we really appreciate what you did and may God bless you!

For participant from RKKK Tengku Budriah only!

Thank you for your cooperation! \\(^o^)//
